The Perks and Pitfalls of a Talent Roster

Joining a talent roster can open doors to better-paying gigs and recurring clients.

You become part of a curated talent pool, which adds a level of credibility, and the auditions come to you instead of you chasing them down.

Sounds great, right? But here’s the flip side:

  • You’re one of many, so there’s no guarantee of regular work.

  • Rosters usually take a commission from your bookings.

  • You need proven, competitive skills to even get accepted.
